I missed the newsletter last week, due to the end of an interview process. 👀 (I will be leaving my current position at the end of July, it was time. Very excited about the next step.)

A Weekly Tip

Often times, we need a way to get a field of TODAY - as in the moment right now in time. Perhaps in order to set up Flows, or reports, or Timestamps, or anything else.

Here is how to do that in the different platforms:

Salesforce: TODAY()

HubSpot: Create a Today’s Date Property on whichever records you care about (usually Contacts). Create a Scheduled Workflow where it updates that date every day. (Don’t forget to turn on re-enrollment!)

Marketo: {{system.date}}

Zapier:

Excel: TODAY()

Spotlight on Tech - Apollo

Depending on the day, Apollo is the best and worst tool I’ve ever used. We consolidated Zoominfo and Salesloft and got a product that is not as good at Sales Engagement as Salesloft and not as good at enrichment as Zoominfo, but together is a pretty good product overall (especially with the costs saved).

Pros:

• All in one platform

• “Good enough” at both factors

• Cost Effective

Cons:

• Salesforce Integration is very messy and no real way to fix it.

• Not as good at either
